i tend to think of years by my age, not by calendar year. “year 21” makes more sense to me than “2019”. when i reflected on 20 a year ago, i was excited to see what 21 would bring. i anticipated growth, however, i failed to recognize a byproduct of growth: growing pains.

nevertheless, i’m thankful, but continuously praying i don’t drag old baggage into year 22.

i achieved everything i had hoped to during year 21! for the past several years, my greatest yearly goal has been to play a part in bringing someone to Christ. i’m choosing to take this goal with me into 22, but i have to admit, i feel a challenge coming.

thank you, Jesus, for 21. praying for a cleansing, refreshing 22 full of gentle growth.
